Juicer Vs Food Processor
An uncooked food improves the health of an individual in better way as nutrients can be absorbed directly. Whereas the uncooked or unprocessed vegetables, fruits, germs, sprouts and nuts increases complexion, internal energy, proper digestion and reduces the risk of fear prone diseases. Despite its benefits, it is a tough task for an individual who is devoid of an uncooked or unprocessed food due to detoxification reaction. Cooking techniques and equipments has benefitted the raw food diet hater in many ways. There are varieties of ways that the diet can be made digestible with less risk. Equipments like blender, mixer, juicer, dehydrator and food processor are available in most of the departmental stores.
Among them, juicer can be used to extract juices from fruits and vegetables. In case of juicer, the extractor just peels of the skin of raw fruits and vegetables and gives each and every drop as juice. Even stem and seeds pulps can be extracted in the form of juice. The processing mechanism of juicer is entirely different compared to blender. The blender in these modern times is referred to as food processor. As the constituent of food is heterogeneous, it is not possible to have one single type of inbuilt containers for all the food materials. The machinery parts of juicer is so simple as its job is only to take out pulps or juices with an increased nutritional component such as proteins, phytochemicals, antioxidants(cancer fighting agents or anti cancer agent), vitamins and enzymes. This helps in reducing irritation, swelling, soreness and pain encountered by manual blending.
The pleasurable experience of cooking is made ease by the application of food processors, which can now be seen in all kitchens. The home management is achieved by available number of food processors at present. The process like chopping, grinding, juicing, blending, cutting and squeezing helps extracting the pulp. Hand-made juicers are available to extract the juices of citrus fruits. Electrically driven appliances are also available to pulp out the juice in better and easy way. However at present, most of the juice extractors are electrically operated. This electric juicer requires less man power and efforts which reduces the labor intensive foils. Juicer manual counterparts are reduced by the invention of food processor as juicing is also a part of processing in blender, the so called food processor.
The food processing consists of varieties of rotating blades to crush the food materials in to pieces. The bowl with a rotating blade is pivoted in the centre. This type of blender is used all over world wide home kitchen. On the other hand the commercial catering industries uses the electrically driven food processors equipped specially with an induction motor. The shaft is fixed to rotate vertically inside the bowl. In most of the cases, the bowl is transparent. The bowl is outfitted with the cutting blades at the bottom most part of the bowl. Cutting blades help in cutting into strips and pieces.
As a part of safety measures, more or less all the food processor is provided with top cover. In certain appliances, the top cover is outfitted with a feed tube which can be fixed to a bowl. This feed tube paves the way for adding the food components that are to be crushed, shredded or sliced into pieces or powders. The feed tube also serves as a chute. If the lid is properly closed or the bowl is not properly fitted to the base, spilling of food materials or damage to skin and equipment may happen. Hence to overcome this problem, the new and modern home food processor appliances are provided with the safety devices. This safety device prevents the induction motor from running if the lid is not closed correctly or the bowl is not fixed properly to the base.
The modern food processors had extended its application by the invention of coffee grinder, bread maker and value added blenders, which ease the processing efforts and time taken to do it manually. Multi tasking food processors are comparatively preferable than juicer. It is because the need of today's kitchen either commercial or residential food making involves the shredding or slicing the vegetables, sprouts, nuts or spices as part of each recipe. As these appliances are ready to lend a hand in day to day needs, the cost effecting factor plays an important role in selection criteria of the same. Considering economic factors of juicer and food processor reliability, the food processor is cost effective. It is because the food processor incorporates the proper maintenance for a longer life span of an appliance. Juicer is economically ineffective as it is not need of every day processing in residents. On the other hand the usage of juicer in commercial catering industries is more cost effective than food processor.
